WPAOG Parent Handbook 2020-21

WestPointAOG.org | 800.BE A.GRAD 13 Welcome to the West Point Family and congratulations on your child’s acceptance to the USMA. Your cadet is on the path to join the prestigious Long Gray Line and continuing the Academy’s tradition of leadership and service. As the WPAOG’s Parent Giving Officer, I work very closely with the USMA’s Parent Communications Liaison, Debra Dalton, on communications with parents and West Point Parent Club leaders. My role is to let you know how WPAOG supports current cadets and their families through participation in our various programs. Keeping you informed throughout your cadet’s West Point experience is our top priority. This Parent Handbook is a great resource to help you understand your cadet’s 47-month experience. WPAOG’s Parent Portal website (WestPointAOG.org/Paren- tResources) has up-to-date information about academy events, the nearly 80 West Point Parents Clubs and other recommended resources. WPAOG’s mission to serve West Point includes raising private funds to support Margin of Excellence programs. I will ask you to support these life-changing experiences for our future young leaders. The West Point Parents Fund is an unrestricted fund which supports all Margin of Excellence Programs and allows you, parents, to support the programs that enrich your cadet’s experience. In completing the Parent Data Form, we can serve you throughout your family’s 47-month West Point experience and beyond. I am here to answer your questions, support your Parents Club activities, and through the West Point Parents Fund, help enhance your cadet’s experience at the Academy. You can contact me directly at 845.446.1535 or at parentrelations@wpaog.org . I look forward to meeting you and working with you throughout the coming years! Go Army!
